About the Protective Equipment Set

The construction industry is one of the sectors most affected by musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Several factors explain the prevalence of MSDs in this field:

  • Prolonged sitting posture: Prolonged sitting increases the risk of discomfort, particularly in the lower back and coccyx. When the posture is not adapted (such as a curved back or closed pelvis), the abdomen gets compressed, and the intervertebral discs pinch. This exacerbates pain and prevents the discs from properly absorbing shocks and vibrations, which are crucial for protecting the back.
  • Vibrations and shocks from construction machinery: The vibrations and shocks caused by machinery and rough terrain pose significant strain on the body. These vibrations travel through the seat and impact the body. Today, it is well-established that vibrations and shocks are aggravating factors in the development of musculoskeletal disorders, responsible for a large majority of occupational diseases.

Adapted protective equipment can effectively protect against these stress, reducing the risk of pain and MSDs in workers.

The optional straps attach around the seat backrest to stabilize the cushion and prevent it from slipping due to movement.

For seats with side airbags: Do not select the strap option on the Ergoback backrest, as it may obstruct airbag deployment.
