When moving in a wheelchair some individuals let their foot (or feet) slip off the footplates. This leads to lower limb pain, joint strain, and encourage equinus deformity.
The Handileg cushion is designed to prevent the feet from slipping off the wheelchair footplates by positioning behind the calves. It also prevents the malleoli from touching thanks to the cylinder placed between the user's legs. This helps to prevent any injuries to the patient.
