The Ergowaist is a lumbar and abdominal protector that absorbs pressure and vibrations when using handheld vibrating tools (hedge trimmers, blowers). It also protects the lower back from friction and impacts caused by the rocking motion during use.
Using and carrying gardening tool on the back, such as a blower or a hedge trimmer, can cause lower back pain because of the swinging effect and the hitting against the lower back. Additionally, the left-to-right motion causes friction on the back, which becomes painful over time.
The vibrations emitted by these tools directly affect the back and can contribute to the onset of pain. It is known that vibrations are an aggravating factor in the development of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
Some people may be required to work with constant pressure on the abdominal area, such as workers sorting on a conveyor belt. This pressure quickly causes severe pain in the abdominal region.
