Why use a forearm rest in cases of inert or reduced mobility arms?

Loss of muscle tone, loss of motor function, atrophied muscles, or paralysis can cause arm weakness, wich is a significant disability that makes daily movements difficult. When sitting, the arm may interfere with movements or fall to the side and hit the desk or chair armrest. When the arm rests on the chair's armrest, pressure sores can appears.

How does our support for inert or reduced mobility arms work?

To protect the arm, we have created the Ergofix arm support. This support acts as a positioning support for the arm and attaches directly to the chair's armrest using straps. The sides help keep the arm secured on the armrest and prevents it from tipping over. The fluid pouch integrated into the forearm rest distributes pressure to reduce the risk of pressure sores on the forearm.
